Oppression

All Oppression Is Connected.
Human Rights are
Civil Rights are
Women's Rights are
Animal Rights.

Animals are entitled to the possession of their own lives and that their most basic interests — the need to avoid suffering — and should be afforded the same consideration as similar interests of human beings. Animals should NO longer be viewed as property or used as food, clothing, research subjects, entertainment, or beasts of burden. Evolve. Stop the Oppression. Be Fair, Be Vegan. Love and Respect for All Species on Earth.

Animal Rights Conference 2016

I am really excited to go to my very first
Animal Rights Conference in Los Angeles
this event has been going on for 35 years!
http://arconference.org/
It is "the world's largest & longest-running event
dedicated to the liberation of animals
from all forms of human exploitation and use."

Two years ago I was planning to join but
I got so sick with whooping cough.
Now I am ready!

Last night as I was packing
my suitcase, Frau Kitty, my lovely tuxedo cat
jumped on it, she wants to go to!

Frau Kitty wants to go to the Animal Rights Conference 2016
Because the Animal Rights Conference
will the one place where all animals are loved & protected
from harmful humans who don't understand that:

Animals are NOT ours to eat
are NOT ours to wear
are NOT ours to experiment on!
Animals are on this planet for their own reasons
and are created by nature, not to be enslaved
and eaten and used by humans.
More evolved humans beings such
Plato, Leonardo Da Vinci, Albert Einstein,
Leo Tolstoy, Franz Kafka, etc.
all understand all this and have been vegan or vegetarian.

Rainy Thursday quote

“He who is cruel to animals becomes hard also in his dealings with men. We can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals.”

SeaWorld set the slaves free!

I have been to so many anti-SeaWorld protests I have lost count...
Also to the beautiful "Light Brigades"
where we form words with led lights letters
to be held on freeway overpasses!
I love this form of activism!
my dear friend Ellen Ericksen is the organizer
I help her getting the materials and posters there
we arrive about 1 hr earlier than other activists
and listen to the quiet streets, I always wonder if
I would listen to the cry of help coming from the
captive orcas, dolphins, penguins, sea lions, and other prisoners.
I prefer to speak for Dolphins and Sea Lions, as everybody else focuses on orcas
Me, wearing some strange sunglasses, and my dear friend Mary Peifer

San Diego Light Brigade, a beautiful and great form of activism!

Committed activists outside SeaWorld San Diego demanding Animal Liberation!
My first Light Brigade encouraging people to watch Black Fish I was the #4!
Me with activists, again a Dolphin sign.
Me and dear friend and partner 'in crime' Ellen Ericksen who organizes SW protests in SD
Imagine my joy and gratitude
when I saw beloved Morrissey's band wearing SeaWorld Sucks
t-shirts at his magnificent sold-out-instantly concert this past
August 20, 2015 in San Diego.
Thank you beautiful Morrissey and your band for speaking against SeaWorld!
Thank you Morrissey and your band, for always speaking for animals!
Now my heart is fuller knowing the animals
have your wit, your pen, and your heart on their side.

Now My Heart is Full from the night I saw beautiful Morrissey in San Diego.
I have two big wishes, to see all the animals free and to see again one day
this talented big-hearted beautiful man sing live again!

Animals used for entertainment

As my mom's friend said:
I've taken to the streets! To speak for animal abuse.
Most of these protests were against animals used for entertainment.
Circuses, zoos, aquariums, dog fighting, hunting, fishing, horse racing, bullfighting… all of these practices keep animals in captivity and use them against their will for human entertainment. People take part, considering them fun, entertaining, artistic or cultural, but none justify the forcing of animals into confinement, to suffer and die, for our benefit. Read more www.animalequality.net/entertainment
Here some of the protests and outreach I joined during July 2015.

Protest at Circus Ramos, where they keep animals in terrible conditions, animals are not ours to use them for entertainment. San Marcos, CA.

Del Mar Death Track, Del Mar Racing Horses, 5 horses have died in 2 weeks in 2015. Del Mar, CA.

Vegan Outreach at Comi-Con 2015, it was a lot of fun and we gave away 4,000 leaflets to help people switch their diet. San Diego, CA.

Protest at SeaWorld, where whales, dolphins, sea lions, penguins are kept to be used for entertainment. San Diego, CA.

suffering

"As long as there is conscious life on Earth, there will be suffering. The question becomes what to do with the existence each of us is given. We can choose to add our own fury and misery to the rest, or we can set an example by simultaneously working constructively to alleviate suffering while leading joyous, meaningful, fulfilled lives. Being a vegan isn't about deprivation or anger. It's about being fully aware so as to be fully alive."

U.S. Research Lab Lets Livestock Suffer in Quest for Profit

Today's article in the New York Times
U.S. Research Lab Lets Livestock Suffer in Quest for Profit
Animal Welfare at Risk in Experiments for Meat Industry...

After reading I feel so hopeless, the poor animals!
The humans and the species that we have become.
I started questioning my food choices
because of health reasons and very quickly realized
where our meat comes from, long story short;
I am a healthy vegan now,
easily done if you get the proper information.
70% of the crops in the USA go to feed animals,
if we use those crops to eat the grains directly,
we could actually feed the entire planet,
and save water and other natural resources.

Check the painful graphic

I am glad people are getting educated and
realizing that producing 'cheap' meat
is NOT the answer to feed the planet,
the UN has been saying this for years
I truly hope that people reading this article in NYT
start paying more attention to what they eat,
the amount of suffering that implies trying
to feed a planet on ‘cheap meat’,
tax payers shouldn’t be supporting this nor
the immense cost of medical bills for a sick population.

Lambs in the “easy care” experiment are tagged so they can be traced to mothers that often abandon them after being left to give birth in open fields. The ones here died during a weekend last May. Credit Michael Moss/The New York Times

Pirates and slaves

Last week I went to the exhibition of Real Pirates
this was an exhibit based on a real pirate ship that sank in Massachusetts, the Whydah...
http://www.sdnhm.org/exhibitions/past-exhibitions/real-pirates/
I learn so much about pirates and I turn to admire them,
they robbed mostly Slave Ships,
then they set free the slaves and make them part of their crew,
most pirate ships had at least a 60% crew of slaves,
indian americans, latin people,
and they always split their gold in equal parts &
had elections to choose captains...
I learn also a lot about slavery...
the slave ships, now the resemblance between
human slavery and what we do now
with the animals was an uncanny painful part
before it was humans
now it is animals
overcrowded and abused
overcrowded and abused
entire families suffering abuse for others profit
intelligent beings being abuse for food

pigs pain

Is the pleasure of a strip of bacon or a sausage
for a couple of seconds in your mouth worth
YEARS of pain & the life of an animal??

please be compassionate with these beautiful creatures,
99% of the pork products come from factory farms,
and the other 1% from animals killed horrible
with a knife to their throats,
please do NOT eat animals!

Is the pleasure of a strip of bacon or a sausage
for a couple of seconds in your mouth
worth YEARS of pain & the life of an animal??

pigs spend over 2 years in gestation crates where they cannot turn around!

Idaho Wolf Slaughter Plan Goes Live, Stop It

Idaho Wolf Slaughter Plan Goes Live -- Stop It
"Idaho Governor Butch Otter just signed a death warrant for 500 more wolves.

And he's going to divert $400,000 of taxpayer money to kill them.

Idaho's official policy is that "wolf recovery efforts be discontinued
immediately, and wolves be removed by whatever means necessary." It has
already killed more than 971 wolves in three years and plans to ramp up the massacre, to slaughter another 500.

Though Idaho's wolf population has plummeted by 42 percent since federal protection was stripped away, the state -- now in charge -- wants to kill another 500 wolves. That will drive the population down to an unsustainable level of just 150."

leafleting

part of being a vegan is trying to
create awareness of the animal suffering
and the huge environmental problems
along with health issues that brings
eating animals...
my main concern has always been
the animal suffering, so it's good
to let others know what animals go through
one of the most effective ways is leafleting!
this is what my friend Ellen, an admirable
animal rights activist in San Diego, and I
did this past Sunday, and Saturday at the
Chinese New Year Food and Cultural Fair
it was a great event, people were very receptive
and a couple stopped and asked more about
animals, vegan and vegetarian diets, and took
the leaflets home.
We gave away leaflets from Vegan Outreach
Vegetarian Starter kits from Mercy for Animals
and FARM. Statistics say that for every 100 leaflets
given, about one person goes vegan.
We gave away over 1,000 leaflets!
So we will have at least 10 new vegans!
Who hopefully will leaflet themselves
and will tell their friends & family about the
importance of respecting animals lives
and how inhumane is to eat animals
and the devastation we are creating in our planet
by raising animals for food!
I had a weekend full of hope!

timeless time

I wish I could live a timeless day
I wish days and weeks would merge
Wrapped in a loving cocoon
All peace and care
But I cannot forget that today is just another day
With minutes and hours passing by
Slowly when animals are in so much pain
I am in peace, gently, watching the sun go by
But I cannot ignore, I cannot forget
Those right now, poor fellow animals
Living in a cage, others about to die
To feed the selfish humans
To entertain them or wear them
Or just to make them cry
Those blind to their enslavement and ache
I wish I could just forget
But I cannot and I won’t
Cause they need me
To speak and to write for them
These stubborn words
Hoping a compassionate human will read them
And too, care for them
Hoping that one day all of us can live
In peace, no humans no animals suffering
All in the loving nest
Of this beautiful planet
Without mourning, without distress

milk, cheese, butter, pain

This is your milk,
this is your cheese,
this is your butter,
this is their pain.

Do NOT consume dairy,
only YOU can stop this circle
of sadness and pain.

your food

"...the greatest evils in history,
such as the Holocaust,
have been perpetrated NOT by sociopathic demons
but by seemingly normal people who engaged
unthinkingly in atrocities that were assigned
to them by authority figures..."

Do you know where your food comes from?
Do you stop and ask yourself before you eat?
Animals live in this planet and have the same rights
to live as humans do?
Aren't we just tyrants who enslave them and kill them?
Just like the Nazis did, or as the whites did with the blacks?

Stop & think, where does your food comes from?
Are you just following the "normal"?
Are you willing to give up a taste of meat or a sip of milk
to save the animals? Or are you just going with the flow
of pain, slavery, and death, just because everybody else does it?
Are you compassionate? Or you just don't care?

Think! There are COMMON every day practices in the farming nowadays
these images happen billions of times per day!

pigs trapped without outdoors access for their entire life

chickens can't move around their entire life

cow extremely sick but still being milked a couple of times a day

pigs slaughtered brutally and left to die, some are thrown to hot water while still alive

animals do not want to die

"Animals are sentient and
do know they are going to die!
You can see how this one cow
just don't want to go in there because
he knows death awaits him.
How heartbreaking!"
You can stop this! Go Vegan!
Stop the meat industry! #animals #veganism #death
I am scared and don't want to die.
Think of this video the next time you are about to eat
a cow, a pig, a chicken, or a fish.
Any & all meat are murder for a dish you body
doesn't really need. Think about it!

Animal testing and animals on labs, unnecessary extreme cruelty

Please listen to this podcast of Our Hen House with an interviews with Dr. Theo Capaldo, the president and executive director of the New England Anti-Vivisection Society, her organization is working to end the use of animals in research, testing, and science, it was founded in 1895! It has been proved that the animal research and testing helps very little for human health… the horrors she describes… how can we seat and do nothing? Also please do NOT buy any cosmetics or products that been tested on animals, and listen and support her organization.
