it seems that i am making friends with
Pepe Le Pew, this little mister skunk
he's one of the three who live next door
sometimes i see two of them, or one at the time
they come around for cat leftover food and seeds that
from the bird feeder, lately, i've been sharing
scraps of food, left overs of fruit and veggies
since they are messy eaters, when i saw this red little
double dish at Target for only 0.89 ¢, i bought it
and mister Pepe Le Pew, he seems to like it!
and every night they are a little less afraid of me
just hoping they won't spray me!, but it seems
that we are becoming friends
and along with the discovery of this stinky friendship
last night came too this great homemade music
that my friend perro found on FAWM.org
February Album Writing Month
now this is a very cool website where 'amateur'
musicians composed & upload an album in just one month
and this is a short month too! being February it
perro (as Looprication) composed a great album
a wonderful piece of electronic heaven/mess
some tracks have some obscure great lyrics
click on the link below to listen to his songs
Songs for the Darkness, Songs for the Dawn
and yesterday he gave me a copy
of these duo that have a set of clever, ironic,
soulful, superb lyrics, with a very fresh sound
and music
worth checking them out!
Ben & Petie
every song is a jewel
and to think, this is only some
homemade music...

Making friends with skunks? Hmmmm...just keep in mind that, in addiction to the possible spray, a veterinarian once told me that, on the east coast, the major carriers of rabies are raccoons, and, on the west coast...skunks....
I'll have to check out the music later...as usual, I've got something playing on the stereo on the other side of the room, and am far too lazy to get up and turn it off (though, once the current CD ends, I might be too lazy to get up and change it....).
hola Dr. Jay, glad you are being lazy :D and yeah!! thank you so much for the remainder on the rabies, i thought of it before 'cause of the cats, one of them has vaccine, but other one and myself don't! these skunks seems 'friendly' but after all they are wild animals so rather be careful... and yeah, i don't come too too close, this photo is with a zoom, i am chicken enough ;)
as for the music, yeah yeah yeah, when you get less lazy, listen to this one from Ben & Petie, He is a Legend
and read the lyrics too, they are a bit strange, on a deer, would like to know what ya' think!

Hola Berenice, dear skunk lover,
As doctor Jay says here above, you are traveling down a thrilling but dangerous road.....
When skunky stinks you, you can't even go to your job for a month.
I listened to Pen and Petie and to heir High way legend. Good music, especially the instrumentation. Real American hand made music. Prefer that to electronically generated.
Georg
hola dear herr Georg
yeah, thank you too for the skunk-concern... you know? i am rather careful so i don't go too close to the skunks, about 5 meters the closest... and sadly, it seems as if they read this blog! 'cause they haven't showed up for a couple of nights now, right after this post... hmmm?? instead a little Possum has been eating the food left for the skuns...
but anyways, glad you liked Ben & Petie, and yes i think their music tastes very American, very cool stuff!
but also, even if you dont' like electronically generated music, well, take a look, or a 'listen' to this lovely track, for example, it's called Sunrise Song, it's rather lovely and uplifting, nothing to do with machines after all

hope you can listen to it and let me know what you think
take care und Guten Tag nach La France!
