mogwai, tomorrow

Friday night
i am seeing Mogwai
at the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach
always some structured melodic noise
is good to smear on one's soul

their Stanley Kubrick song

and opening for them
Dead Meadow
[worth checking out their website...]
never heard this band before
but they are with
Matador Records
and that's a good start
and if all their songs sound like this one
somber, dark
then i am gonna like them
yes, i think so...

Hmmm...this reminds me that Mogwai is supposed to be playing in Philly some time this month...though, if they're all the way out in San Diego, I may have missed them...or else it's still gonna be a while...really need to look this up....

Enjoy the concert. It must be fun!! I haven't done anything I like, like yoga, go for a walk for a while now. I wish I have some time to do it. I thought of taking Saskia out for a walk yesterday. Once I put her down in a stroller, she started crying and couldn't do it... I will try it again today. :-)

Dead Meadow is a great band, I just got their double lp few days ago... they are obscure, psychedelic ala floyd-ish... be sure to be 'prepared' for the concert! mogwaii is going to be pretty swell!

ah Dr. Jay, you sure missed Mogwai already, but hey! i will keep you posted the next time they tour the US, it was a fantastic concert i must admit, also whenever i check dates for 'cool' bands i will check for Philly dates and let you know if something good is coming to your town, i don't mind at all! being in concert watch for you ;)

dear Lisa! i hope soon the lovely little Saskia is up and about, liking the stroller so you both can go for a walk :))) hope you have a lovely weekend besides your lovely super-cute baby of yours!

betiur, refer to Boa's response :)) and another hug

here the Mogwai track that they close the concert with, an over 20 minute long track that truly rocks!
