look who is back!

mister grasshoper

last Wednesday I had to stay sick at home
around the middle of the day
I went out of the house, to stretch out
and watch the plants...
the big old big palm outside my house has grown so much!
and I have to look under its green long leaves
since I cannot see the top of the leaves
and oh what I great surprise when I look up
what I discover under the leave
the shadow of my old time friend
(and yours...-smile, here)
Mister Grasshopper!!!
so I went inside to get my film camera
which was happily loaded with this film
Reala ISO 100 - Fuji Film
just 12 exposition on the film...

so it was nice to see mister grasshopper
at least his shadow
i knew he was around 'cause i find holes in the palm all the time :)

but the whole surprise doesn't end here
mister grasshopper brought a companion!
a little one... I think he became father!
and brought his small grasshopper son!
here is from the same roll, what I think is a younger grasshopper

I remember a couple of days ago watching through the window
a smaller than grasshopper "something" a smaller insect jumping on the plants
so... yeah mister grasshopper's still around
and it seems he's bringing on the family as well

the smell of summer gets closer...
every day around

{38 days... wow!}

mi amigo: the grasshopper

this grasshopper

lives in my front little patio
for a while now
probably over a month
i see him mostly on the weekends
on that big palm
and when i water the plants, he jumps
by the chair or besides the palm
and waits until i am done watering
as i close the water hose... he jumps right away back
to his house the big green palm
i am sure it is the same grasshopper because
every time i see him
it is a little bigger...
my aunt said she saw him too
a strange & neat keeper to my front door
mi amigo the grasshopper
i must confess , i look forward seeing him on the weekends
he eats parts of the palm
sometimes, when i don't see him
i check the palm, if there's a hole in it
is that mister grasshopper had already his lunch

lunch-time

& mister grasshopper
is back again!
he was having his lunch
i didn't take more pictures
since i assumed he needed his space
to digest his branches salad
and after all i didn't want mr. grasshopper
to think
that i have become a grasshopper paparazzi!
click on the photo to look closer at him

for you!
since you like these little stories

ah! and so nice your Stimme...

more grasshopper babies

whoooa!
today i found
another baby grasshopper
i think
mr. & mrs. grasshopper
should get a TV
they are making too many babies

look who's back again! (or Part II)

these photos are from this March
a lovely and now becoming traditional
visitor, arrived again to the little yard
outside my home

this coming-along tradition of
grasshopper friends
[click on it for the whole grasshopper-saga]

above ▲ this as 1st seen this early March, through my window
and below ▼ ... so i came outside to say hello and...

...
for the photo, he posed

i must smile everytime they make it back

good to see you again!

grasshopper's back

another visit of mister grasshopper
these days grasshoppers visit less
they are careful 'cause of the cats and many birds

this gorgeous one, who i had to rescue from
herr Gato' fauces, who was playing with it
appeared this weekend

i grabbed him and placed him on the palm
where i've seen little holes afterward
meaning he's been around and munching on it

the close up shows his thorn-like back legs
& for me, it's always a pleasure to see my old
friends the grasshoppers around

hope you had a lovely weekend
