i love books, and maybe because i am lazy
i love books lists and compendia too, too
i love The Guardian's UK books section
and one of my favorite sub-sections of that section
is their Top 10 lists
http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/series/toptens

the lists are written by an specific author on an
specific subject, usually one that the author
is an expert on

some of the lists are very focus and proper

Keep on reading, my friend, just keep on reading! I created a big part of my character doing this thing (reading Poetry all the τime...and writting from one moment and then)...

Have a nice Sunday Berenice...

Bonjour Berenice,

Just bookmarked this particular post so to have it ready for consultation.

I know a few people who never read but a local newspaper and the TV program. Well, it shows.

ahh thank you dear Diatton and Herr Georg, glad you enjoyed the site, and yes, reading is wonderful, somewhere i read that reading is for the mind as exercise is for the body, i only wish i had more time to read... every book, every sentence, a new adventure

and you are so right Herr Georg, we mustn't disregard other countries ideas and stay local, on the contrary!

glad to see you both here, and hope that you find many books recommendations on this site

Id it is said...

I open that magical door often, especially on days when I feel low or feel uninspired.

On a different note:
The German team looks good, but Spain looks better Berenice : )...to me.
Let's wait and watch :)

To everybody who feels concerned (plus Berenice and Id),

The Germans never look good but we are doing better.

Right now, just 4 minutes to find out!

dear Id and Herr Georg

here at work but checking the results online, so far Spain 1 and Germany 0!! even if i think the Germany team is good, I am really happy for Spain!!! i am always with the 'underdogs', adjective that doesn't seem to fit Spain after all, but you know what i mean... I hope Spain wins!! it will be a better / less boring final to see Holland vs. Spain than Holland vs. Germany (they play all the time already!)

keep on checking and can't wait to see the final! too bad i am at work now 'cause it's not the same to read online news than to watch real-time GOALS!!! :))

so Spain it was dear ID!!

viva España!!! they turned on the TV at our conference room for the last minutes, was great to see co-workers cheering and some booing too! (those with German last names! heh heh)

Es tut mir Leid Herr Georg! ;)

Holà Berenice,

Ja, mir tut's auch leid. I was flabbergasted how the German team played during the first 45 minutes. One cannot win a game by building a wall around its own goal!

Would like to know why they behaved like this, so differently from the previous games.

Only during the last 15 minutes I saw real dynamic football. But it was too late.

RIP

Georg
