when my mom was visiting we decided
to get some plants to cover my window to the alley
from the summer heat, not has been hot at all this summer
we set a table and got two big palms from Home Depot
i water them every other day and they are my friends
later i got two hanging plants
as last night, there were 2 palms,
this morning, only one is left
last night, i heard noises by my window
when i looked through, i saw a person with my plan
on the back seat of her/his car!!!
i yelled, what the heck??? you are stealing my plant!
they backed up down the alley, dropping all the trash cans there
they stole my plant and i think a bin trash container too
who would steal a plant? it was heavy too
and yes, they only left the little plate behind
tonight i tied the palm left with a cord to the window
my best friend said to me tonight
the strangest things happen to you
and i said, i know... and i barely do nothing
i don't go out much, i am always lazy at home
but trouble seems to know my name.... and address...
and telephone, and he said, yes, and it has your
e-mail address too

i've been busy/lazy and haven't been taking much care of this blog
also, i haven't taken care of my 23hq account
now & then i do post on Facebook
but overall, i am lazy
so i have a little project, to post at least one photo a day
or every other day? on this blog, the daily photo
so far, 2 photos in a row...
hope procrastination doesn't get the best of me (again)
tonight's photo, this one of Frau Kitty
she can have quite an attitude, check her out!

m & m wedding
my dear friends m & m got married today
the ceremony was at the Wedding Bowl, Cuvier Park, in La Jolla, California.
it was a small but very lovely ceremony accompanied only
by their immediate families and by ocean...
the sky was cloudy, but nobody cared since m & m's happiness
and radiant smiles filled the atmosphere with love and hope
i was honored with the pleasure of being the official photographer!
it was a very happy day! i wish you always the best my dear friends
right after being declared 'husband and wife'
they both looked elegantly natural
during the ceremony, the waves were big and celebrated with them
their wedding rings, m's engagement ring, and her lovely bouquet

America's Next Top Kitty
as posted on Facebook a couple of days ago...
my little cat, Frau Kitty, loves being photographed,
every time I take photos of her, she rolls over and starts posing...
I think she wants to be "America's Next Top Kitty!"

my life in fast backwards pictures
while i was at the Amigos en Concierto concert
during the intermission
(that explains the loud people's voices on the back)
i made a movie with my small Canon camera
of the photos i've taken with my other camera
my lovely DSLR Sony α Alpha 100 while previewing them all
it's obvious that i haven't emptied my camera card in a while
as obvious is too
that i take way too many pictures of my lazy cats!

The Sheltering Sky by Paul Bowles
my bits and random sentences on The Sheltering Sky (by Paul Bowles) was... and then transports you to the dusty eternal dryness of the desert, to that desert induced sopor... read & read & read one after another beautifully arranged sentences... the vastness of the desert, the immensity of the sky as the painful beauty that is a taste of life...
The Sheltering Sky is divided into 3 books
The characters, the structure, a bit strange sometimes, not too deep in details and then trying to deeply tell about them through small bits & pieces... not sure if it worked, 'cause, sure i wanted to know what happened to the characters, but it was somehow obvious, and strangely not so important for the book, yet i never got tired of the plot... was of that encounter, almost randomly, of those beautiful sentences, so painful, so lovely, so like life and death, that i really felt in love with
Title page of the 1st Edition of The Sheltering Sky
not sure if all i wrote above makes sense, but hope you read the book, anyway.
and some photos of my 1949, 1st Edition copy of The Sheltering Sky to show
a profile on Bowles
