must confess i am a fan of the family guy not the classiest cartoons on TV but they sure make me chuckle w/silly stuff like their concept of 'doggy hell'
Funny...though even if I believed in "hell" as anything other than a mental state, I'd reserve it for bad dog owners, not the dogs themselves, who should all go to heaven...which I don't believe in, either....
hey Dr. Jay! i totally agree with you, Hell and Heaven, for me too, are states we experience every day here on Earth, some days we go from one to the other without any warnings, huh? and as for the doggy hell, yep!! NO dogs should go to hell nor cats, nor any other animals, except for a couple of Homo-not-so-sapiens guys, heh heh
still the doggy hell from the Family Guy is pretty funny, with the Devil there handling a vacuum cleaner which are indeed hell for dogs (and cats too!) woof woof und meow!!
Nice! I like overall Family Guy, although for the most part they tend to rely on the "Like the time I was..." joke, which gets a bit tired for me. the one thing I don't like (and it's something I learn to live on with the Simpsons) is the ugly drawings. It's like if any of my friends who doesn't know how to draw, did the whole thing! I like the show and for sure it reaches some very sensitive and disrespectful points which makes me chuckle, but not really my fav. I don't know if you have watched Harvey Birdman, attorney at law. It is unbelievable! I just watched the 4 seasons back to back and in many ways I like it more than FG. And the drawings are completely Hanna-Barbera style!
hola mister Ground Control i finally made it to this comment, and yeah!! i agree with you on the relying too much on the: I remember that time when... and some of their examples are really stupid, I think they ruin the show more than help it, still, i do like a lot Stewie and Brian's conversations, much more than Peter's persona
and thank you!! for the recommendation on Harvey Birdman, i haven't seen those ones but I will surely check them out :)
and as for truth spoken, YEAH! the Simpsons are the best and they'll always be!!
just yesterday i was watching some old episodes from Season 4, one of my favorite seasons, and watched Selma's Choice, remember that one? is the one with Lisa visiting the Durf Gardens :) wonderful stuff!!

also really liked the season where Conan O'Brien was writing for them, i think is season 5
yeah the Simpsons rule! other good and bad cartoons might come and go, but they are here to yellow-stay!
