pancakes, rain and coffee

another rainy start in San Diego this morning

and an early start for me
8.15 am and me, already munching down some pancakes
and doing some Hausaufgabe
at a local Denny's

nothing like an early breakfast
on a raining morning
with some pancakes on the side
sidewalk-staring drops falling
hot coffee and pretending to read...

Hallo Bere,

Had a look at Dennys' breakfast. That's far away from what I have every morning. No wonder so many people are overfed fatties.

However, I admit the stuff must be tasty.

As to those Oscar distribution, the French telly is full with interviews of Ms Cotillard. As to me, to be honest I do not like Edith Piaf, never did. To me she had a voice like a melodious air raid siren. However, I would prefer to hear her instead of living near an airport.

Ha, ha, ha (veri funni)

ha ha Georg, yeah! Denny's breakfast are far from healthy or polished... this chain store is for the masses, and yep! for the fatty masses... to confess i never go there... but when i have a crave of cheesy sort of low quality but big breakfast, well, Denny's is the place for that, their breakfast are in a very old-fashioned american dinner style... butter and bacon and over sized entrées, good for a heart attack

and i can just imagine how popular is Ms Cotillard these days! of course until another star wins the Oscar next year, huh? specially in her country that is yours now

and on Edith Piaf, to confess, i don't know much about her and i was never her fan, but my mother is! she has a couple of her records and that's why for me is more of a blurry and pretty memoir from the past

i am curious about the film mostly because of the acting of Ms Cotillard and his award, also 'cause the scenarios and customs seem so well done!

and Georg i wish you NO airplanes and NO Edith Piaf song close your lovely village, although being there i guess you are more in danger to fall into a song than to an airport, hopefully, right?

take care!

und Vielen Dank!
