"Well it was 20 40 years ago today,
Sargent Pepper taught a band to play,
They've been going in and out of style,
But there garenteed to raise a smile,
So may I introduce to you,
The act you've known for all these years,
Sargent Peppers Lonely hearts club band!"

busy full moon / little simpsons bites
these days at the office
uuufff! busy busy
stress
& a full moon going on...!
but at least i came home in time to the double feature of
The Simpsons
2 episodes in a row!
here, i recorded a bit
hoping you chuckle too ;)
one of my favorite entrances:
the bird nest...
and then...
the obsessive compulsive cowboy, what a character!
"I am obsessive compulsive!
hiya! 1, 2, 3, 4...
hiya! 1, 2, 3, 4..."
hilarious!
and bit more of it...
"that's where we left of.."
now, a little more relaxed
after a good Homer laugh...
1,2,3,4! :)

el cairel
as life goes on
i learn to accept some parts of myself
i didn't like before
sometimes, when i feel not very "perfect"
on the vanity department
i remember i am thankful for being a complete being
for having all my body parts
some looking better some showing the age
& the law of gravity being strictly obeyed...
and this curl on the back of my head
i have seen it since i was age 5 or as long
as i can remember
in my days of ironing my hair to make it straight
(yeah i was a fashion victim once)
i used to hate the curl on those days
my hair was straight, sleek! but if i pull it up
the damn curl was there...
as to scream to the world:
"this woman, has NO straight hair,
she's just a fake!..."
now these days i could care less for doing much to my hair
i appreciate its wildness and rebel impositions
and i mostly tie it up on a ponny tail
I've fight the curl with gels, and other pasty remedies
but invariably, after a couple of hours...
or sometimes minutes,
of either heat, or sweat, or cold, or anyway
the damn curls comes back again
tonight, i finally came to peace with it
when i saw my own reflection at the gym
among many mirrors i barely recognize myself!
some women were wearing the same generic gray as me
but among all the mirrors i saw my curl
and i recognize myself
oh i like it so much now
probably, now... it will fade
such is life, such is faith...

naturally sepia...

oh! i finally got some film developed back
this picture...
not a great theme or anything like that
(although i love the mexican peaberry...)
but what i like about this picture
is the naturally sepia!
this is just my film camera nikon nikkormat EL
and a 200 iso film, cheap one, KODAK Kolor
and well, my dirty kitchen stand instead of a tripod
no photoshop here, just the scan of the film if anything
ah sepia! i like 'cause tastes to my eyes like Café
or a good blessed cup of tea

to grow or not to grow, & rose garden
that is the question!
such a flowery shakespearian dilemma!
that i have to face this cloudy morning

my film camera here
still working...
and to top this flowery day
a song that I grew up to!
my mother used to listen to this song endlessly!
in the early 70's
so I know ALL the lyrics...
a great classic country 70's songs by Miss Lynn Anderson
this song and many others
have been central theme of the DJs list
I get via e-mail...
so... I beg your pardon
but here are the video & the lyrics
be a good cowboy to this cute & skinny lovely lady
and sing along w/her & her retro friends...
I beg your pardon,
I never promised you a rose garden.
Along with the sunshine,
There's gotta be a little rain sometimes.
When you take, you gotta give, so live and let live,
Or let go.
I beg your pardon,
I never promised you a rose garden.
I could promise you things like big diamond rings,
But you don't find roses growin' on stalks of clover.
So you better think it over.
Well, if sweet-talkin' you could make it come true,
I would give you the world right now on a silver platter,
But what would it matter?
So smile for a while and let's be jolly:
Love shouldn't be so melancholy.
Come along and share the good times while we can.
I beg your pardon,
I never promised you a rose garden.
Along with the sunshine,
There's gotta be a little rain sometimes.
Instrumental break.
I beg your pardon,
I never promised you a rose garden.
I could sing you a tune or promise you the moon,
But if that's what it takes to hold you,
I'd just as soon let you go, but there's one thing I want you to know.
You better look before you leap, still waters run deep,
And there won't always be someone there to pull you out,
And you know what I'm talkin' about.
So smile for a while and let's be jolly:
Love shouldn't be so melancholy.
Come along and share the good times while we can.
I beg your pardon,
I never promised you a rose garden.

must-watch films (part 1): Darren Aronofsky
oh this blog!...
trying to do something useful out of it
i can classify some of my favorite films!
if you happen to read this...
please consider these films on your list!
i will try to post now & then more about films
that i think are good films
for a start:
2 films from young director Darren Aronofsky
π or Pi- Faith in Chaos
a claustrophobic-as-a-migraine but very brilliant noir film
a superb brainiac thriller! please don't miss it
the photography is black & white, high contrast and a bit noisy
the music, a great IDM (intelligent dance music) soundtrack!
& the damn headaches! that i so much relate
and Sean Gullette's acting
π trailer
"Mathematics is the language of nature..."
"There will be no order, only chaos..."
-------------------
and the second film by Aronofsky
Requiem for a Dream
(a great link here with a very tricky well-done official web-site)
after watching the film, I couldn't stop thinking,
and sulking, and being depressed for a couple of hours...
still, this is one of the best films I have ever seen on human addictions
it is heart-breaking because it is truthful
a very well-done film with great actors
beautiful Jennifer Connelly
and over all you must watch because of
Ellen Burstyn acting!
she won an Oscar as leading actress
for this film!!!
Requiem for a Dream trailer
another Requiem for a Dream trailer [worth watching!]
I relate this film with Trainspotting because of the thematic
and Trainspotting was a great film too, very shocking, sarcastic...
yet... Requiem for a Dream, I feel goes even deeper
the sarcasm becomes irony
the intensity of how easy a dream could be broken
excellent photography and cinematography
great soundtrack too
another must-watch film! strong, excellent!
