mister Blue Jay

so this is one of the things
i feel i could miss from my old house
although i am already planning
to put a bird feeder at my new place

[click on the photos to enlarge, it's worth, he's a pretty guy]

ahh mister Beautiful Blue Jay here
i looove their mocking sounds
so loud and irreverent
and they are such beautiful elegant guys
of course they take dives at the cats
and people, they are a little too territorial
but wow! their blue feathers are some of the
loveliest shade of blues that nature can produce

and these Californian Jays are actually
Western Scrub Jays
beautiful moody guys

I see that you love the animals! About me, i have never had a bird in my house. But some time in my past i had cats...

The fact is that leaving with animals you take some special messages from them...

There's a fog upon L.A.
And my friends have lost their way
We'll be over soon they said
Now they've lost themselves instead.
Please don't be long please don't you be very long
Please don't be long or I may be asleep

@ dear Ruchi, yeah!! glad you liked the piece and that gave you peace, glad to be in touch with you again

@ Diatton, hey the Blue Jay, only visits the front yard of my little home, he never comes inside my home, he's indeed very free, but it's great indeed to have "recurrent" wild visitors, and sure, i do love animals, i am afraid i am liking them more than people these days ;) OK OK except for bloggers, i like those humans very much heh heh

@ super Ground Control, hell yeah!! thanks for the reminder of this song, looove it, and i sort of forgot about it, gotta dust off my Beatles stuff :D

Lovely shots, amiga! You are really an animal magnet, aren't you? I've been looking all over for colorful birds but the best ones I've seen so far are the green Costa's hummingbird. Caught a few egrets and godwits on camera a few days ago when I went down to Tijuana Slough... but that's about it.

You've really gotta teach some tricks on how to not appear like a hungry bird-eating cat when approaching these fluffy creatures with a camera. :o)
