I recall when I was living in a trailer and had a mouse problem. I bought traps, which some friends objected to, saying they were cruel and suggesting that, instead, I get a cat. I replied "at least the traps won't torture the mouse all afternoon before finally getting bored and deciding to kill it..."
ay Dr. Jay, thanks for sharing the mice story, it perfectly illustrates the video. And yep, these feline creatures are cruel, even if I love these cats, a couple of early evenings they've raised my concerned... surely after seeing them torture and cut the tail of a lizard not long ago, & a couple of dead birds and various tortured, and killed insects, my perception of them has changed!
cats not only are, and surely not mine that were wild alley cats and go outside, these cute furry pets, they are true predators and serious killers and rather manipulative, surely my idea of them has changed http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,532303,00.html oh well! still love them
yeah herr Georg, therefore i find NO point on reprimanding my 2 killers when they attack or injure an animal, I tried at first and they just grew sketchy of me, so now what i try to do, is NOT to leave food out so other beings don't come close, and leave bird food up high, so the cats can stare but not catch them... and yeah they have it in their feline genes, to be cute and to kill!
hope your cats are both healthy now and recovering, ready to chase innocents again ;)

Hallo Berenice,
So it is as you said. We have two cats and it is true: they are lovable killers.
We didn't create the creation and its principle: eat or being eaten. If you don't like it, go to a higher instance and lodge a stern complaint.
Cheers
Georg
