glad to know you are maladjusted too
my mother introduced me to J. Krishnamurti, she really liked his work of At the Feet of the Master and other of his works, rather interesting man, as you are!

and si! me dolía la cabeza, but not today anymore :)

hope Philly is treating you nicely today, have a good one

An amazing juxtaposing of words! Only a krishnamurthy could pull this one off:
'health' 'well adjusted' and 'profoundly' to talk about a 'sick society'!!!

hola dear ID
yes, his mind was as good with words as his heart with love

you are another example of wonderfully put together words and feelings, i admire YOUR poetry too

glad you stopped by, a warm hug for you!

Ha! But then... in a profoundly sick community, I'd expect that what we would call sick would be regarded as normal or healthy (and perhaps what constitute normal and healthy behaviors in our frame of reference would be regarded as sick there)... And so... can the viewpoint of those who already live in that sick society be rightfully condemned by the viewpoint of that society's newcomer? (I suppose it can... to a degree)

So. It seems that the whole thing would come down to the question of whether there exist an absolute standard of what is healthy and what is not that all sorts of society can agree on.

I'm thinking too much. Better go off to hang with the sea gulls! ;o) Thanks for another brain-stimulating post, Bere. Happy weekend!

Cheerio,
Smorg :o)

hola mister Smorg

loooved the bottom line of your reply, so funny! glad you got to hang-out with the seagulls instead of thinking too much, that means you are nicely maladjusted too

(i do agree that we'd have to define what's sick or not in order to 'judge' but then again those are matters that are rather subjective, although we 'good' people seem to agree in what is NOT sick is anything related with good virtues and pro healthy life, i guess...

hope the sun in shining again in downtown by you, after this unlike Sunny Diego weekend

take care mister Smorg!
