coffee for tea

"None but a coward dares to boast that he has never known fear."
-Ferdinand Foch, French general

I always do the same at the office
when in the midmorning, soporific hours
to my soul, crawling...
i climb the stairs for a cup of black tea
yet
if there's fresh-made coffee
i switch invariably...

but this is the tea collection
zu Hause ;)
so i guess, doesn't really matter

café, tea, whatever to keep my mind
awake and spirited
while these black spots on a white screen
i keep on typing

the intricate systems we humans
have created when it comes to the classification
of the drinking

ah! sabor

Alterated states, legal drugs, addiction, 9 to 5 miniature escapades, instant pleasures, social vices, hedonism...

coffee, tea, sugar, chocolate, tobacco, cheese, etc...

Life would be quite tasteless without these...

oh beto
and quite tasteless without neat comments from neat friends, you know? thank you!

and i remember working with you gladly for a couple of years
and our communal office morning coffee on French Press at the office in "La Casita" they were nice days even if the Hard Rock was exploiting the heck out of us miserably, ha!

so indeed i remember you being addicted to day-time legal drugs as well, hedonist indeed we humans tend to be, huh?
