Today I found this Einstein quote in the page of a great programmer, mister Paul Graham, and I posted it here because I felt a little “enthusiastic” about it and a little “enthusiastic” about posting something in this lately somehow abandoned blog, and yes! because I agree that either wealth nor sumptuousness nor idleness move a soul or the world, but exactly the feeling of fervor, passion, or gusto we feel towards something or not…

Therefore, the pursuit of art, of knowledge, a lifetime of not-yet-acquired-enlightenment-chasing...

Today with an Einstein quote and while reading mister Paul Graham, the little creative worm in my head had sprung again, after this long beloved vacation, I am getting ready to learn again, and to read, and to be enthusiastic about those little things you can't buy nor share, the drive to take a picture, or write a sentence, or compose a tune, those desires are intimately shaped in the intimacy of one's own soul

i spent almost 3 weeks on vacation
i haven't taken a vacation this long in many years
i shared my time with 2 wonderful German guests

the turns and twists of USA
its freeways and highways took us
to Arizona, the Grand Canyon
and then Nevada, Las Vegas
and all around Southern California

Hermann Hesse hätte heute Geburtstag
am zweiten Juli
today was Hermann Hesse's birthday

Demian, Narcissus and Goldmund
and so many of his other words
filled my adolescence of magical nostalgia
his words, still crawl now & then
to my soul

i have never read this poem before
but it was the only one i found
translated in German and English
on this www

praying that the gods of literature
keep on sending us geniuses who
with words, are able to cure this
irremediable, intriguing and very
beautiful feeling that is this one'
of existence

today i went for a little walk
i drove straight home after work
changed shoes and grabbed my little camera
and breathed outside!

the summer time makes
the evenings lighter
and smiling-to-pedestrians
windows make you want to
walk more



and then somebody told me
to 'google' 'google sky
but that he wasn't sure if such a thing
existed or maybe was just a dream?

naively enough, as to google my friend's dreams
i gladly realized that there such a thing as
google sky

but also there is a
google moon

driving directions to stuck up on cheese]

there are no google-frontiers

oh not much writing still
the preparation of vacations
and work work every-day routines
but perhaps and being this the last day
of a silent june
the time and luck will line up
so i can tak tak tak again soon

Sonntag am Strand
Sunday at the beach
domingo en la playa

today i planned to just some errands
i suspected this morning that this Sunday
won't be a very fun day, i had to
go to the grocery store and get ready
for a very busy week ahead at work
clean the house, get the proper clothes ready
und so weiter und so fort...

and what a nice surprise always is
to find out that the store you are looking for
is close to the beach

i live about 8 miles
or 10 minutes from Ocean Beach
so no problem driving there
and why not? once you are there
is great just to walk to the pier
and stretch your tired feet
and walk under the sun, by the sea

& San Diego was lovely today!
breeze flowing, playing with my hair all day
sunny... but not so hot
