Zoro zoro

no, these are not the tree-ified feet of a gigantic alien ostrich
these are the root-feet from the two gigantic guardians
at the entrance of the Zoro garden
the sunken little treasure of our beloved Balboa Park
from a sunny Sunday walk
more photos coming soon...

Splendid photo, Berenice. Looking at your blog and Smorgy's, I have sometimes the impression S.D. is the foreign city I know best.

Georg

Autlan is noteworty, too.

hello Herr Georg,

sorry I haven't seen the nice comments you left!! I am so thrilled to read that you know San Diego throw Smorgy eyes and mine, and I love the fact that you mentioned Autlán too! It's a town that many Mexicans don't know themselves, so it's great to know that it has been visited, even if just virtually, from a town in France!

Vielen Dank Herr Georg!

Hola Bere & Herr Georg!

And hey, that's my favorite Balboa Park spot, too! :oD There's a little paved path leading south from there that goes up a little hill to President Wy that I would ride down. A family of hawks like to perch on a bunch of eucalyptus trees on one of the bends. ;o)

hi mister Smorg, i know you like Zoro Garden, i know about it 'cause of you and your blog!! it's a wonderful little area

the other night I was watching Ken Kramer's About San Diego, and can you believe there was a nudist exhibition at the Zoro Garden once? it was during the California-Pacific Exposition on 1935, here at the photos, what a great thing, huh? back when being a nudist was educative! :) so fun!
