i understand the responsibilities of a good citizen
and i appreciate the freedom to vote
so i went out and voted
as i've done for a long time now
as i write this Jerry Brown is being
declared as the new Democratic Governor
of California, i celebrate 'cause he was my choice
let's see how this goes for California

i had to distract myself with something
Herr Gato and his politic views helped!
and Herr Gato is much better looking than Jerry too!

I used to love politics a little too much...now I'm a recovering hardcore activist.
Jerry Brown seems like a good guy, even if the Dead Kennedys wrote "California Uber Alles" about him (then, they seemed to recognize their own mistake when they rewrote the song as "We've Got a Bigger Problem Now" a year or two later).
yeah Dr. Jay we can only hope, Jerry if anything, at least has experience, huh? that Meg Whitman option was really scary! you can see i am a democrat, as good minority i am...
i am baffled over 2 propositions NOT passing in California though: prop 19 NOT passing in California? that was stupid so! my neighborhood smells like it passed for the past 10 years, so not sure what happened there.
we also had a controversial proposition in San Diego, the sun tax, a 1/2 cent to sales, to be able to support our firemen and police expenses, i am surprised it didn't pass either... oh well, politics, i know, you are recovering, and i staying away from them!! OK, only until is time to vote again :)
