and al, i do understand what you mean, i was talking to my mom last night and we compared Obama's success with Vicente Fox a couple of years ago in Mexico, we mexicans were happy that the PRI was finally down the power after over 70 years! but by now the 2nd option and new regimen hasn't work either... but regardless of how successful the Obama government can be, nothing worse than Bush's government
also I think it has really raised the moral feeling and has encouraged the whole nation just the fact that he won
