Hola Berenice,
Good idea to show the kissers. These two persons seem to be gigantic. What is the real height of those two persons??
And where do they go??
Cheers to you
Georg
Hi Berenice, I was looking for a picture related to the book and movie "The Sheltering Sky" and found your blog, very interesting indeed. I took a picture from it and I hope you don't mind, and if so, I'll erase the photo (it don't intend to profit). Here is the address (feel free to joining)

Thanks!
hi Yahuar,
what a funny coincidence! I was just showing this post to a friend, the San Diego bay sculpture one, not the Paul Bowles... but YES! please use any photos from this blog you'd like to... any reader who likes Paul Bowles is more than welcome here... thanks for letting me know! and I will surely join your Facebook page :)
thank you!
hola Herr Georg
I been looking around for the height of the sculpture but I just cannot find the information anywhere! maybe I have to go and measure them myself? before they take them away too!... Also in any of the articles I read, they say about what are they going to do with it and why they just don't leave it there... they say it belongs to a non-profit society in Santa Monica, but they don't say where it will placed after San Diego, too many questions unresolved, huh?
good to hear from you Herr Georg!
Hola bella Bere & Herr Georg!
Arggh! I didn't know that they're removing that sculpture. They keep changing those little art works along the waterfront but I thought The Greatest Generation Walk would be a permanent one.
I think the Kiss statue is 25 ft tall and is officially called 'Unconditional Surrender' ( http://www.portofsandiego.org/public-art/view-the-art-directory/940-unconditional-surrender-by-seward-j-johnson.html ). :o) The LA Times ( http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2012/02/unconditional-surrender-sculpture-to-depart-san-diego-waterfront.html ) says it's heading to a park in New Jersey.
I bet it'll miss our more temperate climate! Can you believe it is supposedly mid-winter here??? I was doing laundry at a laundromat nearby yesterday and was sweating like a roasted pig. :oP Hopefully we'll have a cool summer to compensate, ay? :oD
Oh, my comment is not here anymore...
A G**gle-attack, i think. :)
