Peace, love, walks and books for 2018

I took the first little walk of the year.
Viva 2018, I hope for a year with more peace...
and peace of mind, to read books, and walks,
and do vegan outreach and just enjoy my little life.
Hope you have a lovely year too!

Walked to my mom's favorite little trail
aptly named Little Eden

Balboa Park walks and my mom

My mom spent a couple of months with me in San Diego
she was taking care of me while recovering from surgery
We used to take long walks to Balboa Park.
I miss her and our morning walks!

I am very lucky that my mom is 99% vegan
she occasionally eats fish or some cheese
but since I was a girl, she always ate veggies,
salads, juices, never really liked eating animals
when she is with me is 100% vegan and when she
goes back to Autlan, she is 99% vegan
she loves soy milk, tofu, beans, and ALL fruits & veggies
I think my transition to veganism was much easier
because the way we always ate at home.

walking Presidio Park

last weekend I went for a quick walk
to one of my favorite places in San Diego
Presidio Park, a lovely jewel of this city
anytime I know Balboa Park is going to be too crowded
or whenever I want a peaceful walk, there is
Presidio Park in Old Town
is almost never busy... I only encounter
hikers, people working out, and yes!
photographers! also the occasional picnic
I was just going for a walk, but then I had
my old point-and-shot in my purse
therefore...

Presidio park: haven of peace

tasted like copper this Sunday
at the Presidio Park

not radiant like Summer gold
not cold like Winter silver
but a warm orange
cooper Sunday

and i followed unexpected my own steps
3.12 pm (15.12 Uhr)
a sudden need for nature
the sight of a tree
a walk, i needed freedom!
and almost automatically drove
to these
prairies and trees
it was the mild orange of copper
today at the Presidio park
and i walked, and breathed
and caressed with my little camera
oh so many trees!

Die schöne Melancholie des Sonntag

since a was young girl
i remember feeling this little
empty space in my stomach
every Sunday night
the idea that the fun part of the week
was coming to an end, i guess

and since then i've found little cures for this

Die schöne Melancholie des Sonntag
the beautiful Sunday's melancholy
la hermosa melancolía de Domingo

i've been to movies to forget or
when there's a new Simpsons on Sunday
that's my breaking point
but also a good early evening walk
will suffice for the mini-closing of the weekend
celebrating my own way of saying to this week
curtains downs
and welcome a new week ahead

and here what i saw
around 17.15 Uhr

walking alone at night

Do coincidences really exist?
Are they predestined events, or just simply déjà vu?
Or are they little tricks our minds play on us?

Sky about to Storm

The walking solution
Is good for any occasion

I remember tonight
That anytime
Nothing like a walk
A night walk

Low flood of the night
Lights outside
The sound of distant cars
passing by

The half moon
And soft smell of houses
From the inside
Outside
Late night
Around

I walk
Alone, yet
The remembrance of you
Nearby…

Tonight an empty chair
and a late cloud
