it's 09-09-09 and it's Otis Redding birthday

unlike yesterday
i feel a bit better today
about life and health...
and i always amused
by our love of numerology
tons of couples getting married today
and people waiting for the good Oms coming
from this number-magic date

and i remember that today is also
Otis Redding birthday
i have before posted about him
and his rest-inspiring song
but here again, in case you weren't around
back in 2007 to read this blog

also, 9-related, can't wait to watch
the new animated film 9

so this song that i can post, post, and post
and listen to it, again & again
and then whistle a little, at the end...

sunny quiet Sonntag

today was one of those
lovely quiet Sundays

[and during the cooking of das Frühstück, a beloved voice came through, filling the eggs' recipe with joy]

an introspective day
with quiet home shores
the smell of laundry and the soft sun
reminded me of the peace

[i did laundry and realized i have way too many light green clothing (?)]

that peaces that seems to hide in between home-cooked meals
and quiet afternoons smelling of books and tea

slowly one can feel
the hot turbulence of the Summer
surrendering to the more calmed
languid moods of the Autumn

and slowly on this lazy late Summer, i can feel
as i contemplate shadows through my window

the memoir of your soft kiss
and the birds fly around again
in a little dizzy bliss

a sunny Sonntag sneaky feeling

Friday, a lateish September night

and finally
here
the 1st time in a while
a Friday night
un cántaro y tequila
the top of my fridge
& my little plant

this night smells
of warm September summer
of water with clay
and of memoirs of guests
die Herren, later, my mom

teas, smiles, roads, besos
and laughs
this summer is fading away
but not the days in my heart
and summers will come
along with bread, trees, breeze, and wine

and yes
it's been a while
but as always
am back

and restart as left
w/a
Prost
Cheers
and
Salud
to my 1st words plastered here
in this warm September night
