#Turkeys are wonderful birds
millions of them die for #Thanksgiving
We must evolve and learn to celebrate
without murdering animals!
My friend Ellen and I went leafleting the past days
creating awareness on the suffering of turkeys
and all the resources we use to feed them & kill them.
California is on the worst drought recorded in history
and a raising a turkey alone takes over 8,000 gallons of water
That is crazy! When you can have a compassionate Thanksgiving
Eating a vegan meal and not having a dead body
at your table...
Please consider saving a life this Thanksgiving,
helping your planet, the animals, and your health!
I have been to so many anti-SeaWorld protests
I have lost count...
Also to the beautiful "Light Brigades"
where we form words with led lights letters
to be held on freeway overpasses!
I love this form of activism!
my dear friend Ellen Ericksen is the organizer
I help her getting the materials and posters there
we arrive about 1 hr earlier than other activists
and listen to the quiet streets, I always wonder if
I would listen to the cry of help coming from the
captive orcas, dolphins, penguins, sea lions, and other prisoners.
I prefer to speak for Dolphins and Sea Lions, as everybody else focuses on orcas
Me, wearing some strange sunglasses, and my dear friend Mary Peifer
San Diego Light Brigade, a beautiful and great form of activism!
Committed activists outside SeaWorld San Diego demanding Animal Liberation!
My first Light Brigade encouraging people to watch Black Fish I was the #4!
Me with activists, again a Dolphin sign.

Imagine my joy and gratitude
when I saw beloved Morrissey's band wearing SeaWorld Sucks
t-shirts at his magnificent sold-out-instantly concert this past
August 20, 2015 in San Diego.
Thank you beautiful Morrissey and your band for speaking against SeaWorld!
Thank you Morrissey and your band, for always speaking for animals!
Now my heart is fuller knowing the animals
have your wit, your pen, and your heart on their side.
Now My Heart is Full from the night I saw beautiful Morrissey in San Diego.
I have two big wishes, to see all the animals free and to see again one day
this talented big-hearted beautiful man sing live again!
As my mom's friend said:
I've taken to the streets! To speak for animal abuse.
Most of these protests were against animals used for entertainment. Circuses, zoos, aquariums, dog fighting, hunting, fishing, horse racing, bullfighting… all of these practices keep animals in captivity and use them against their will for human entertainment. People take part, considering them fun, entertaining, artistic or cultural, but none justify the forcing of animals into confinement, to suffer and die, for our benefit. Here some of the protests and outreach I joined during July 2015.
Protest at Circus Ramos, where they keep animals in terrible conditions, animals are not ours to use them for entertainment. San Marcos, CA.
Del Mar Death Track, Del Mar Racing Horses, 5 horses have died in 2 weeks in 2015. Del Mar, CA.
Vegan Outreach at Comi-Con 2015, it was a lot of fun and we gave away 4,000 leaflets to help people switch their diet. San Diego, CA.
Protest at SeaWorld, where whales, dolphins, sea lions, penguins are kept to be used for entertainment. San Diego, CA.
Two protests today, horse races & bull riders,
what is this fixation
with grown men
wanting to ride abused animals?
Both are millionaire
industries too.
There is something very wrong with humans,
they don't
questions themselves why?
They just do their abusing...
At the Del Mar
Race track was so disappointing to
see all these cute women all dressed
up with hats,
trying to be 'cool', how cool & hip is to
dress up to
go see drugged abused horses dying on a race track?
Humans are just too
close to see the cruelty of their ways.
Just question every thing you
do,
every 'tradition' you will be amazed by your answers.
Protest at Del Mar Race Track
This 2014 Summer 16 Horses Died in 31 Racing Days!
Professional Bull Riders at Sports Arena, riding bulls is wrong!
part of being a vegan is trying to
create awareness of the animal suffering
and the huge environmental problems
along with health issues that brings
eating animals...
my main concern has always been
the animal suffering, so it's good
to let others know what animals go through
one of the most effective ways is leafleting!
this is what my friend Ellen, an admirable
animal rights activist in San Diego, and I
did this past Sunday, and Saturday at the Chinese New Year Food and Cultural Fair
it was a great event, people were very receptive
and a couple stopped and asked more about
animals, vegan and vegetarian diets, and took
the leaflets home.
We gave away leaflets from Vegan Outreach
Vegetarian Starter kits from Mercy for Animals
and FARM. Statistics say that for every 100 leaflets
given, about one person goes vegan.
We gave away over 1,000 leaflets!
So we will have at least 10 new vegans!
Who hopefully will leaflet themselves
and will tell their friends & family about the
importance of respecting animals lives
and how inhumane is to eat animals
and the devastation we are creating in our planet
by raising animals for food!
I had a weekend full of hope!
me & Ellen leafleting at the Chinese New Year festival 2014
Other things you can do: reduce your consuption of meat!
Or even better, become a Vegan!
The Vegan lifestyle and diets are great! I feel so healthy,
light & fresh, I have lost weight and I feel sharper.
Please stop eating animals!
They do NOT deserve to be treated like this
after being vegan, and learning so much about the cruelty
the farmed animals, testing animals, and most animals suffer,
even on puppy mills, I decided to take my fight to help animals
a step further, I have been participating in a couple of events...
the suffering of animals on these farm factories is just indescribable
pigs live in small cells where they cannot even turn around
their entire lives!
milking cows are constantly inseminated to keep pregnant
and milking them with machines, standing 24 hours a day
hooked to a machine
their calves are taking immediately from them as they are born
and tied and caged in small cages so they don't grow so they
can be sold as veil meat
chickens live in this tiny cages where they can't expand
their wings, and their beaks are cut without any pain-killers
I didn't know all of this! Now I know and the least I can do
is try to educate my friends and join these protests,
mostly to peace my hurt soul after witnessing so much suffering
last Saturday I went to my very first protest
I joined some animal lovers and vegan friends from PETA
We went to protest against this International Bacon Festival
Now, that I more conscientious of animal issues
that I have been vegan for a longer period of time
I thought I could do a bit more than just stop eating animals
I think I can try to help friends, family and others
to understand the tremendous pain that animals suffer
when living in farming factories and when slaughtered brutally
I got to meet some really nice vegan people (see below)
and I will surely meet them again when I can join to protest
the atrocity that is going on in our planet.
Morrissey from The Smitsh would be proud of my sign!
All to help these beautiful creatures that are so abused
a group of new lovely friends, all animal activists
