Vegan protein

Too much ‪vegan protein!
It is so easy to get more than enough protein
when eating in a vegan compassionate way:

1Tofurky sausage = 30 grams of protein
1 whole grain bun = 10 grams of protein
40 grams of protein total, 0 cholesterol,
very low saturated fat
No animals harmed
No planet harmed

From the Tofurky website, my hot dog was too good to wait for the photo, I ate it!

Tofurky products have been saving animals & our planet for a long time

Diet and Climate Change or Meat Is Heat

Dr. Michael Greger from NutritionFacts.org:

"While epidemics of chronic disease are currently by far our leading causes of death, global warming is considered a looming public health threat. How can we eat to combat dietary diseases and greenhouse gas emissions at the same time?"

Please take a look at this important video:

Now get a veggie burger instead of a cow burger,
do it for your health, for the animals, and for the planet!

World Water Day

Water is the most precious resource we have
In California we are living a 4th year of 'exceptional drought'
One way to save a lot of water is by eating a plant-based diet.
Animal Agriculture requires a lot of water and resources.
One quarter-pound hamburger takes 621 gallons of water to produce.
That's enough water to take over a month's worth of showers.
While a veggie burger (soy based) takes only42 gallons of water.
Both provide about the same amount of protein!
And the veggie burger has protein, it is healthier for you and our planet

Please visit the website Truth or Drought to better understand
the connection between animal agriculture and droughts.

Is Veganism Extreme?

Is Veganism Extreme?

I'll tell you, and maybe if you read my blog years ago
I used to be SICK all the time
I had migraines, asthma, IBS, diverticulitis
allergies, horrible allergies! all the time
and I thought it was my poor cats
and I was always tired, always late, always unmotivated
I have been a vegan, not even a super healthy one
just a vegan, for a while now and
The migraines are GONE
The allergies are GONE
The IBS and diverticulitis attacks are GONE
I have more energy than when I was working-out but eating dead animals
and drinking yogurt
I feel so much more clear-minded, focus, and just happy & relaxed
And to confess, I thought being a vegan was hard, but it hasn't been at all!
There is so much food to eat that has NO animal products, really, there is!
You get all the protein you need from beans, tofu, nuts, grains, and veggies
Give it a try, you won't regret it!
You will feel young vibrant again, and you won't be torturing animals
nor contributing to the destruction of this planet!

Take Extinction Off Your Plate

Taken from: http://www.takeextinctionoffyourplate.com/
"Meat production is one of the main drivers of environmental degradation globally, and the crisis is rapidly growing worse. Production of beef, poultry, pork and other meats tripled between 1980 and 2010 and will likely double again by 2020. This ever-increasing meat consumption in a world of more than 7 billion people is already taking a staggering toll on wildlife, habitat, water resources, air quality and the climate. And Americans eat more meat per capita than almost anyone else. By eating less or no meat, we can take extinction off our plates and improve our own health along with the health of the planet."
