near Ground Zero, Sept. 9, 2001

i was working at the San Diego Blood Bank
the reaction of blood donors and help from Sandiegans
was impressive, people formed such a long line
that went all around the Blood Bank, it was like that
for many days, demonstrating the strength and unity
of the American people
