Monday we broke record heat, it was 95°F (35°C) inside my house!!
the poor Gatos and myself were melting...
Tuesday was a little cooler

Splendid photos, Berenice. Lovely clouds, works of natural art and you (we all) have it for free.
Judging from what I see, those clouds are Cirrhus, very high up in the sky, about 8000 m (25000 feet) and made of ice particles. When the sun shines through, it gives a kind of halo.
Here Winter is coming, each morning temp hovers only a little above freezing point (about 32°F I think) but then we have those beautiful warm Automn days.

hi Herr Georg, thank you for the clouds analysis, and yes Cirrhus they are! or as i knew them as a child: many sheep flying in the sky, my favorite kind of clouds! so you sound like a member of the Cloud Appreciation Society yourself... and yes San Diego is getting colder too! we've been having rain on & off this week, mild rain that is, but colder temperatures... thankfully our winter never gets as cold as yours, great to see you herr Georg
