Just yesterday morning
It was all fine and sunny
your voice sounded warm and friendly
And the fluffy clouds at me smiled
Opening their bellies after a long night of rain dropping
palms, clouds, streets, cars,
they all encompassed to make me feel glad
But the today came
And fine gray mist
Covers the sidewalks this morning
Fine gray melancholy
Rests my tired soul too this morning
Rain, drops, tears, an afar affair revisited
Brings back old fears, suspicion, and sadness,
Or something like that
I don’t want to see the rain again on my patio
Without feeling protected somewhere
so yes this Friday grayish morning
Don’t know why, but i suspect why, all of a sudden
I feet like the rain:
Falling lonely

berenice,
Rain in this time is wanted in Japan. We have a saying that bamboo shoots come out after rain. Rain invites frogs and sprouts. I like the smell of earth when rain starts. Please don't feel lonely. Rain binds us together.

Hey! So it really rained up in your 'hood. :o) Down here in East Village we only got about 5 minutes worth of it last night (though the clouds had spent the whole day trying to make up its mind if it wanted to really touch down here or not).
That was probably the last rain for us until November or December, ay? I'm glad it got such a good tribute from you! :o)
Cheerio,
Smorg
hola dear Masanobu and Smorg
yes, Masanobu in San Diego we welcome the rain in San Diego, as Smorg said, probably this one was the last of the season, even if we are by the coast, we suffer droughts here often, so yes, we are blessed every time it rains a least a little
as for lonely, yep, just a little lapse in time, but those are good sometimes too, much better today, after a cloudy and gray Saturday, we woke up to a wonderful Sunday!
and Smorg, i hope you are enjoying the beautiful Easter day we are having this Sunday, here it's sunny and getting warmer, perfect day for the beach, I think I will head later to Mission Beach
glad to find a local blogger :)
happy Easter!
Hallo Berenice,
Glad to see that blogger Smorg left you a message. So you have an IT fellow right at your doorsteps and not 5000 miles away.
I have one, too, that chap Vincent who leaves sometimes a comment in French. We met him and his wife Friday evening, here at home for dinner.
