Quarantine songs 2

It has been a quiet relaxing Sunday at home.
Today, no outside world, well, a little...
Walked the cats on the courtyard, got a bit of sunshine
And plant-staring, which is the best for the mind and the soul.

I am amazed how fast time is going by...
I have been working from home since March 16.
And days are passing FAST...
My neighbor said time is really slow for her,
but she's not working.
I seem to be even busier at home than at the office.

But today, I slowed down.
I meditated a little with this wonderful meditation
by Sujantra from Pilgrimage of the Heart.

And Qigong quick video.
And a 50 minute online yoga class.

Even though this is a scary time for humanity.
I love that our planet seems to be thriving!
When I hear the birds, and see the flowers,
This M83 intro plays in my head...

"Sun is shining Birds are singing Flowers are growing Clouds are looming And I am flying"...

That will be the quarantine song of today:

Frau Kitty walking on the courtyard

My neighbor thinks these plants are just 'weeds' and they are, but they bloom into beautiful little flowers, soon!

I am most thankful for this wonderful tree!

Quarantine songs

Today was eerie.
Went to the laundromat, I was afraid.
More of us are wearing face masks, the others (who didn't) looked at us, strangely.
Were they envious that we were more protected?
Or are they in disbelief still?
You cannot get a face mask easily these days...

And this last sentence strikes me like from bad sci-fi movie!

I remember my friend Bill, back in early January, texted.
2020, buckle up.
But we never thought it would be like this...

I come home, feeling a bit safer...
Yet, still have to wipe my shoes.
Change my clothes, take off my mask carefully.
To not infect anything. Infect. That word.

These are the quarantine days.
Counting to get sick, or better, to not.

Tonight, I start my playlist.
Playlist of Quarantine songs:

David Bowie, si señor, Ashes to Ashes.
Hope we will see you, but not too soon, Major Tom.

People and trees

People and trees
People at night in the little rooms
in the little rooms looking at a shinny talking box
The lights flickers and changes
Sometimes do you laugh sometimes you’re scared
Outside, the light reflecting on beautiful lovely not seen Palm Trees
The beauty of the suburban sidewalks unseen
Everybody stresses everybody fears
everybody watching the box but now nobody sees you my beloved trees #TV #Stress #unseentrees

I support Bernie Sanders

Bernie Sanders is not communist.
He is a democrat socialist!
Learn before you talk.
For those saying that Bernie is not electable, did you think Trump was electable 4 years ago?
We need to be like the democrat socialist countries that are thriving, like Denmark and Finland, where there are NO billionaires but no homeless people either!
I support Bernie Sanders!

GOT ultraviolence

So I am watching Game of Thrones too
The Battle of the Bastards...
and then the violence, ultra violence
heart races and beats...

and yes the story is excellent, the acting,
the writing, the production, the scenes...

but we are highly entertained with ultra violence
and this is what humanity watches every day
how it sieves into our lives?
the madness the stress the blood
the feelings the revenge the darkness
the primitive darkness

oh light come back in
let me hope again breath!

Merciful 2019

I wish you all a 2019 full of Mercy!
Have mercy for others, for all the sick and hurt humans and animals, and for yourself.
Try a peaceful approach to life, even to your enemies.
Try not to kill innocent beings for your food or clothing.
Be peaceful and kind, love is all we got.
Live vegan.
"The quality of mercy is not strained.
It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven
Upon the place beneath. It is twice blest:
It blesseth him that gives and him that takes."
~Portia in William Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice.

Age and activism

Please read this article by talented and passionate Marla Rose. My personal note: I think a lot of us have the idea of an activist being a young, unhappy, or somehow unadapted person to society, the typical young hippies, and troublemakers. I grew up as a “regular," content middle class person, but as I aged and discovered many of the social injustices that I was not aware of, like animal agriculture; I found out that middle-aged people like me, working professionals, homemakers, specialists, and plenty of ‘regular” every-day people who are over 40 years old are eager to change the world. I became a vegan for justice for animals and our planet at age 44, and an animal rights activist at age 45. Vegan outreach at colleges

Last Tuesday I spent some hours doing
Vegan Outreach at San Diego City College.
VO has a program, Adopt a College, to leaflet colleges since young people are more concerned about animals, their suffering, about being healthier too and also about the future of our planet (animal agriculture is one of the top reasons for global warming).
Vegan Outreach also a new program 10 weeks to Vegan, where people are helped to ditch an animal product each week, please enroll and start saving animals too!
It is a joy to volunteer for Vegan Outreach to help animals and our planet while educating younger generations.

The Vegan Witch Project

This Mexican Vegan Witch
would like to put a spell on humanity:
"Love each other & respect all animals"
"Don't eat the pigs, don't eat the goats,
Don't eat the chickens, or you will bawl!"
