Monterey pine goes to Alpine

my little Christmas tree (a potted Monterey pine)
has been living in the patio for the last couple of weeks
since I know it won't thrive living in a pot
today I am giving it to a friend
his parents live in Alpine, California (San Diego County)
so he won't be very far...
and there they will plant it

farewell my dear tree friend
I will miss you!
but you will surely thrive living in the Alpine woods!

Salute to Vienna 2013

a lovely re-creation of the world famous
Salute to Vienna, New Year's concert
here in San Diego, on January 1st of 2013
at the Copley Symphony Hall
with the Strauss Symphony of America
with Andreas Mitisek, conductor
Anita Lukacs, soprano; Zsolts Vadasz, tenor
and the dancers from the Kiev-Aniko Ballet of Ukraine

it was a great way to start the year
with live music, fun Operettas, Polkas, and Waltzes
and with my mom's company...

also plenty of costumes at the entrance!

adiós 2012

this was an interesting year
a good year
the first year in my new home
finding a more comfortable place at work
enjoyed spending time, mostly with these 3...
my mom, Herr Gato, and lovely Frau Kitty
reading books, listening to music
and mostly, living life...

i wish you all my blogger friends
the best for this 2013, and always
health, love, warmth of heart
and some little money, why not? too!
