busy with photos and work

my poor blog has been so abandoned!
i've been pretty busy at work
attending a conference where i took over 500 photos
here one of the hotel

you can see all the photos I took at the CASAS website here
http://www.casas.org/training-and-support/SI/gallery

and enjoy the video Jared made!

I did some of those interviews and the photos were taken by me
so see? i was just busy working, and sadly not blogging...
but, hey! i am back!

new casa

i've been living in my new home for about 6 months

but somehow it still feels new

every day that goes by, i am thankful to life and my mom

for being able to live in such a lovely little place

i love art but these days i cannot afford buying a lot of it

so i find comfort on having 'original' art

the idea of having 'original' art started with a gift from my friends

m&m... they enlarged and framed this photo of Herr Gato

as my house warming gift

the picture looked nice but it was missing a companion! so i enlarged a photo of a tree i took in Germany while visiting Herr Thilo

here is a link to the original photograph,

der Geist Baum auf Bielefeld

i also try to keep only natural plants in my home

a lovely orchid and some older plants i brought from the older home

and then i have this lovely enlargement that Insky sent me a while ago

both the Insky and the Herr Gato are originals too

for my bedroom these photos i took a while ago from  Julian

tree home

from my courtyard
at the new home, well, not so new by now

Smorg Sun

mister Smorg, a San Diego blogger friend
does a wonderful job of documenting the life
in this beautiful city...
you can take a look for yourself at his blog
http://smorgzone.blogspot.com/search/label/san%20diego
so in his honor, this little, or big sun
that saluted me the other day, on my way home
a big ala Smorg Sun!
(paraphrasing this SmorgZone blog)

Sherlock 2

I've been waiting since last year for the release of

Sherlock 2

Season 1 left us on a major cliffhanger!
very ala Conan Doyle...
finally this Sunday

Zola Jesus

miss Zola Jesus
and yes! as a comment says on youtube:
play this whole album on repeat for your well being!

Walden

"As if you could kill time without injuring eternity."
~Walden, Henry David Thoreau

i just don't like knowing that i have to go to sleep
quitting reading these pages of Walden
because responsibility will call tomorrow
'cause my face has sagged from not sleeping much
not great pains or mild victories
just indulging on tv, books, late nights
yes, if i don't, then yes, the eternity

Karina y Mariano

Karina is one of my best friends from my adolescence
We lived so many things together!
This past weekend I finally saw her again after 15 years or so
and she came with company!
her adorable son Mariano, who kept on singing, dancing,
and sharing the joy of being a healthy boy!
I loved spending time with them!
